Who does not like to eat good food? I do! The first thing I like about a tasty dish is its looks. It should look good. The colors should be good. Aesthetics is what matters to me foremost. When I am done with my secret garden, I need to eat.
In my garden there is a large place for sentiment. My garden of flowers is also my garden of thoughts and dreams. The thoughts grow as freely as the flowers, and the dreams are as beautiful. - Abram L. Urban
Though it may be said that the brain is processing data while we eat food and so we can recognize the taste, this is only partly true. Think of it. What draws you to a restaurant when you are walking down a street and see some food cooking?
Well, I do not know about you, but to me it is first the color and then the appearance and then the aroma of the food.
What most people do not even fathom is that it is really so easy to add spice to a dish, not the "spicy spice", if you know what I mean.
I am talking about adding a simple edible flower to make the dish all the more exotic and tantalizing. Now that is my secret garden tip for the day to you.
There are quite a few edible flowers that you will be able to obtain and they are not just available in my secret garden. These kinds of flowers are absolutely awesome in adding that very ‘different' flavor to a dish of any creation.
But, cooking with flowers is not a very easy process and one needs to exercise a lot of caution indeed. This is simply because you must be absolutely aware of the nature of the flower, is it poisonous?
I will reveal more of this to you next time in my secret garden tips.
When one of my plants dies, I die a little inside, too. ~Linda Solegato
