Every gardeners varies in their choice of flowers to grow. Others are very particular about their choice of plants and select only certain species and colors.

Some species stands erect, and others are procumbent (spreading). Many hanging basket species produce long vines that hang down from the container.

3.  Color.

Flowers come in a large variety and intensity of colors. A successful flower garden displays species whose colors blend well.

A good display of colors does not necessarily mean contrasting colors. Some stunning and effective display involve shades of one or a few colors.

4.  Sunlight required.

When plants are located close to the house or trees, partial light becomes an important consideration. Less amount of sunlight reduces flowering capacity.

5.  Blooming.

Species bloom at different times and for different periods. If you desire continuous blooming in the garden, you should select plant that blooms in succession throughout the season.

6.  Water requirements.

Different flower varies in their water needs. To maximize water utilization, you should apply the growing mixtures techniques. In this technique, water can be utilized efficiently.

7. Maintenance requirements.

Some flowers requires constant vigilance for best results, while others need minimal attention. You should choose the plants that are congenial  to you where you can give your utmost attention.
