Another variety of orchid is cattleya orchids. Moderate care is required for this type during unfavorable conditions. Flowers develop within two weeks if they are under favorable environments. Miltonia orchid require indirect sunlight and they develop flowers within two months. Apart from other orchids Paphiopedilum type consist two varieties. One type requires warmer environment where as the other colder. Another type of orchid is Vanda orchid and it is generally grown in green houses. The name "Vanda" comes from the Sanskrit species of Vanda tessellata. Lots of Vanda orchids (like the Vanda coerulea) are considered endangered, because of destruction of habitats thus making the export of types of the Blue Orchid (Vanda coerulea) which have been wildly- collected and other wild Vandas illegal worldwide.
