Free Garden Plan

Our free Planting Guide for this garden includes a larger version of the illustration, a detailed layout diagram, a list of plants for the garden as shown, and complete instructions for installing the garden. This circular plan includes up to 20 varieties of daylily, along with a few perennials for contrast. A centered fountain, surrounded by hosta, completes the low-maintenance plan. The overall size of the garden is 28 feet in diameter and is best planted in full sun to partial shade. The plant list is designed for hardiness Zones 4-8; in Zones colder than 9, the caladiums will need to be dug in the fall. (Note: Zone recommendations are for the plant list shown; your local garden center can usually recommend plant substitutions that will allow you to use this plan in other Zones.)
