You don't need a big yard for this collection of annuals and perennials. In fact, you don't need any yard at all. Though designed to slip into a half-barrel (or other similar size container), this miniature garden bed offers a long season of beauty. Silvery foliage of Russian sage contrasts with the clusters of pink verbena flowers and sets off the cheerfully yellow daisy. This will do well in full sun to light shade. A couple of the plants can be moved into the garden border toward the end of the season for the best protection against a cold winter.
