Acalypha wilkesianais a robust, tropical foliage plant native to the Pacific Islands. Its variegated, multi-colored leaves create a vibrant display in annual container combinations or bedded out in a sunny garden.
Light/Watering: Full sun. In containers, water when the top inch of soil is dry.
Fertilizer/Soil and pH: Grow in well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic material, and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly throughout the growing season.
Pests/Diseases: Powdery mildew is sometimes a problem.
Companions: Combine with flowering annuals such as Dahlias, Rudbeckias, and Zinnias that complement the multi-colored leaves.
