Growing Lollipop plant (Pachystachys lutea)

A reliable houseplant that always looks cheery with its yellow bracts and small white flowers, Pachystachys lutea is adaptable to full sun or bright light. Day and night temperatures of 60-80°F are fine year round. Water when the top 1 inch of the potting mix is dry to the touch and feed weekly with a water-soluble fertilizer with a balanced formula (15-15-15) or bloom booster formula higher in phosphorus (7-9-5) mixed at 1/2 strength. Trim branches to shape, as needed.
