This genus is made up of one species of perennials from the coastal regions of Japan. The crisp, white daisy-like blooms sparkle in an otherwise drab fall garden, and bunches of blossoms can be cut to bring indoors. Cut back plants in spring to keep them looking their best.
Light/Watering: Plant in full sun in well-drained soil.
Fertilizer/Soil and pH: Nipponanthemum enjoy rich fertile soil. Apply a balanced fertilizer (such as 10-10-10) in early spring.
Companions: Plant with Aster, Eupatorium, and Sedum.
