Pronunciation: plat-ee-ko'don
Plant in full sun or partial shade and average garden soil. Plants may be slow to become established, especially in heavy soil. Very late sending up new growth in spring; mark their location to avoid digging into the fleshy roots. In the South and West, cut plants back after bloom and fertilize to encourage a second round of flowering in the fall.
