Growing Rheum (Ornamental Rhubarb)

Ornamental Rhubarbs are useful wherever you need a bold-leaved accent. Plant 3′ apart in full sun to partial shade, in humus-rich, evenly moist soil. Not a plant for dry climates or locations. After its first year in the garden, fertilize once in early spring with a balanced fertilizer. Few insect or disease problems.
