Urban Roots is proud to be a distribution sight for the Public Art Initiative in partnership with the Albright-Knox Art Gallery project involving the community dispersal of free native wildflower seeds to residents throughout Erie County.

This installation by artist Jenny Kendler has re purposed and designed old Buffalo News news stand boxes to hold the free seed packets. While the colorful boxes bring the artistic beauty of natural wildflowers to all corners of Erie County, these native plants will bring not only a vibrancy and diversity to our landscape but provide valuable food sources for Monarch butterfies.
