Joe pye weed is a wonderful native wildflower that grows throughout the easter US. The variety ‘Baby Joe’ is more compact and has shorter stems than the wild varieties. The purple florets on ours are just about to open and start attracting butterflies and other beneficial insects.
We have a number of varieties of rose of sharon. Right now ‘Blue satin’ and ‘Mineru’ have blooming flowers.
These hardy perennial geraniums reach 18 to 20 inches tall and bloom all summer long.
The new growth on these bushes is just brilliant right now!
Dragon wing begonias will thrive in areas with part to full shade and will continue to bloom up until the first frost of the season.
