Don’t forget to register for the first of this fall’s garden workshop series. Workshops kick off this Saturday, September 15th at 2pm with Seed Saving presented by Richard Price. Richard is one of our most dedicated and knowledgeable presenters and has been a mainstay at Urban Roots since we opened our doors over 5 years ago. Next Saturday, September 22nd at 12 Noon, David Clark (check him out at http://greatgardenspeakers.com/listing/reviews/clark) will be presenting a workshop on Extending Your Garden Season. Topics will include cold frame theory and construction, hot beds, grow boxes and plant selection. Rounding out the month of September will be Tom Szulist of Singer Farm Naturals presenting a workshop on Garlic on Sunday, September 30th at 12noon. He will be bringing many varieties of garlic grown at the farm and will offer tips for growing garlic in your home garden. All workshops are FREE and open to the public.
