Richard Price will be presenting the workshop on Composting this Saturday, October 22nd at 2pm.

Composting is great for gardeners and the environment. Compost is a valuable soil amendment that feeds plants, improves soil structure and adds living microbes to your beds. Don’t be intimidated by ratios of “greens” to “browns”. You will learn the how-to’s and benefits of composting.

We have composters available, including tumblers, stationary and kitchen, available at the store, along with compost activators and aerators to get that pile cooking.

Richard Price has decades of organic gardening experience and is a member of the Seedsavers’ Exchange.  He has been an invaluable resource and contributed much time and knowledge here at Urban Roots.
