What is your favorite spot & time in your garden?

Anytime really, especially if it means not being inside. But honestly. right after we put our kid to bed, an hour or so in the garden is the perfect way to end the day. I don’t get much done, but that does not seem to be the point.

When did you really get into gardening?

I have always loved digging in the dirt but only in the last 5 years or so, did I have a clue what was a weed versus something I wanted to keep around.

What is your favorite product from Urban Roots in your Garden?

I just picked up some great blueberry bushes this year that are doing amazing. I can’t wait for the berries to start filling up my fridge.

What is the value of gardening to you and the community?

Gardening is a release, oftentimes quite physical and my chance to play in the dirt. As for the benefits to the community, I think people with gardens spend a lot more time in their yard and in doing so, have a lot more interaction with their neighbors. This makes for an environment that people want to be in, a street where people want to live and a neighborhood that has pride.
