Brad Wales and a group of volunteers will be continuing work on the park at Rhode Island and 18th Street on Saturday and Sunday the 24th and 25th. They will be installing the swinging gates that connect Urban Roots to the park, grading the ground and grouting the tiles. If anyone has time free this coming weekend, please come donate some of your time and skill to help our neighborhood and work on a really cool project. Five Points Bakery will be providing food to the volunteers, but we would really appreciate contributions of food to help keep everyone happy and well fed. There will be horseshoe pits across the street, so bring your shoes. Anyone with experience with tile and/or attention to detail, we are looking for volunteers to help with grouting the tiles made by the neighborhood kids. Wear play clothes, this should be fun. If you know you will be there let me know so I can sort of plan ahead with how much to cook. Please let Melissa at Five Points Bakery know via email at [email protected].
