As part of the Member Appreciation Day’s festivities, on October 3rd we will host another plant swap (from 9am – 12pm.)  Plant swaps go way back for Urban Roots, to the years before we opened the doors of the Garden Center on Rhode Island.  They played a role in building the network of interest and support that enabled us to make Urban Roots a reality.  We are proud and pleased to continue this tradition.
 
Fall is a great time for sharing and planting perennials and shrubs.  As you do your garden cleanup and closeup tasks, many of you will find plants that need dividing.  Bring any plants that you can’t use down to UR and they will no doubt find a good home in someone else’s garden.  If you have spaces you want to fill, there may be just the plant you are looking for being offered at the plant swap.  All plants are free, and you do not have to bring something to take something.  So come on down.
