There are over 30,000 types of orchids, and almost four times as many orchid hybrids. Not surprisingly, there is an almost endless selection of silk orchids you can choose from. One trait all orchids share is a leaf pattern that is semi-symmetrical. With orchids, all of the petals and the flower’s center are exposed. They incorporate stunning combinations of colors and employ a semi-symmetrical design, like their leaves. Because they are so eye-catching but delicate, they should be the star of any flower arrangements they are placed in. A couple ways to arrange them include draping them over the sides of a basket or gathering them towards the middle and adorning them with tiny flowers or well-chosen greenery. Orchids most commonly employ two to three strong, bright, contrasting colors (such as white and purple or yellow, orange, and black). However, among the 100,000 varieties available, there are orchids in just about every shade imaginable. Orchids are a good choice for home decor because they look right for almost any season.
To Buy or to Rearrange? That is the Question
Every time I find myself in a craft store poring over the new selections, I begin again to think that if only I had this item or that decorative craft, then my house would look perfect. This mode of thought not only leaves me constantly wanting for the next available item but also leaves my wallet empty. The sad truth of the matter is that when I finally do succumb, my new treasure of a purchase all too often appears as clutter and ends up at my next yard sale. I have learned (slowly) that often the best solution to having a fresh change is to use what I already have. Some simple rearranging of my furniture, pictures, and knickknacks spruces up my life at home and gives me that fresh home decor feel. This way, I am expanding my artistic ability and sparing my wallet
Having Fun with Interior Design
One of the joys of interior decoration is the ability to take an ordinary-looking space and transform it into something beautiful. Unlike any other art form, interior design allows you to dwell inside your creation. You are not just producing something that looks nice; you are also concerned with practicality and usefulness. Often, flawless interior decorating is like make-up: the less you notice it, the better you did your job When excellent interior design is the norm within a house, visitors feel welcome, invited, and at peace. Not everything you decorate has to be completely innovative: sometimes simply rearranging what is already there or replicating something you’ve seen before gives a wonderful touch to the area.
Plants as Interior Dcor
One of the best things to remember when you're designing for home silk plants is the size of the plant. For instance, if you are looking to decorate for a kitchen table the best size is around one foot to two feet. You probably want something with wider leaves to attract the eye and the attention of the visitor. However, choose taller, slimmer plants with long leaves when placing greenery in a corner. Guidelines like these help enhance the beauty of your home. Keep in mind that artificial plants have an advantage over their real-life counterparts in that you do not have to constantly water them, they do not attract bugs, and they last about three times longer.
