Garden Carts

Garden carts are among the handiest pieces of equipment in lawn and garden work. Without them, a gardener would either have to make many trips to transport the material, or risk injury by carrying heavy loads from one place to another. Barring workhorses on a farm, the urban gardener has only rugged garden carts to do the heavy hauling that is required by yard work.

These garden utility carts are incredibly versatile and come in many different configurations for various uses around your property. Wheelbarrows are perhaps the most widespread, as these usually one-wheeled carts are found among the equipment in most backyards. Dump carts haul heavy firewood, gravel, and cement bags and empty them in exactly the right spot.

Versatile Garden Carts

Dock carts are designed to transport loads found around marinas, and their plastic rims prevent corrosion from salt water and air, but, of course, can be used in the yard also. Other garden carts include carry-alls that can haul trash cans; log racks for carrying firewood, and wagons, which do double-duty as carts and childrens playthings. Whatever the specific job that needs to be done in the yard, there is a special type of cart to do it well and safely.

For those who have disabilities, or are elderly, self-propelled carts let the motor do the work. You don't have to push a cart, and you don't have to try to keep a wheelbarrow full of clippings from tipping over! Press to move forward, release to stop--and you can even go in reverse!
