Golden yellow tipped green foliage in fall and winter becomes greenish yellow during the warm season. Makes a dense, colorful hedge or specimen. This new Chamaecyparis lawsoniana variety is grown on a root stock that is resistant to Phytophthora lateralis - a disease that has caused the demise of many lawsoniana's over the last two decades. This rootstock was developed by Oregon State University and is marketed under The Guardian" Series. We are utilizing this new rootstock on several varieties: 'Blue Surprise', 'Golden King', 'Silberstar', and 'Yvonne'. Photo credit: Doreen Wynja
