Fairy Bells 'Chinese'

This magnificent perennial was found and named by noted plant explorer, Dan Hinkley in Sichuan Province, China. Its bamboo-like shoots emerge in shades of pink, white and green, maturing to deep green. Fragrant, creamy-white flowers unfurl like nodding bells with the new growth each spring; flowers are followed by glistening black fruit in fall. Photo credit: Dan Hinkley
