Q: I called you in early April about whether to go ahead and plant my straw bale garden. You seemed a bit skeptical about planting that early, but since I had the plastic sheeting in place and was able to cover it for several days I went ahead and planted.
I have a total of 45 bales; plants include tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, cabbage, brussell sprouts, broccoli, lima beans, butter peas, green beans, English peas, parsley, thyme, basil, rosemary, dill, and, of course, marigolds and impatiens to “pretty it up”.
You had asked that I send you photos when I got it going good. What do you think?
A: They look awesome! Keep me updated!
