Q: In order to abide by the watering restrictions, when I want to water I need to set up my sprinklers the night before I want to water. At our current temperatures, that would mean that the hose and sprinklers would sit out all night at freezing temps. Do I still need to put down 1″ of water weekly on my fescue lawn under these conditions? Or can I stop watering?
A: There is no need to water normal fescue lawns in winter unless you’re planting new seed, and then for only a week or two.
