Q: I just received an e-mail from my mother who resides in Indiana. She said she was listening to a gardening show on the radio last night (out of Atlanta), not sure which one as her memory is not so good.

She said they were discussing a banana tree that only reaches the height of 6 feet and has fragrant flowers, more of a decorative tree.

I have several banana trees in my yard but none that produce flowers. Would you by chance know what type of Banana tree they were referring to?
