Q: My wife put tulip and daffodil bulbs in planters last fall. This spring they bloomed very nicely. Can we replant the bulbs?
A: You can transplant daffodil bulbs after the leaves start turning yellow in mid-May. Tulips don’t usually come back to bloom a second year but you are welcome to plant them as well to see what happens. My guess is that you’ll get about a third of the blooms you expect from the tulips.
