QuestionHi Dear Friend,
I bouth a little Juniper Bonsai last week. I put that near the window to get as much as possible sun, now unfortunately I realized some of the buds are dried and when I touch them the fell down. I am so sad because I really love this plant I don' know what happened to it. Maybe it should be because of the cold weather at night!!! any idea?Oh, I watered that2 times and I did not used any plant food yet. (I bought the special food from the store as well). I live in Toronto.
I am so thankful if you can help me.
AnswerHello,
Junipers are outdoor trees. They will not thrive indoors, regardless of what those big box retailers tell you.
I live in Boston and i keep my Junipers outside all year. I also purchased a Juniper for my parents (Montreal) and they leave their Juniper on their back porch. Last year, 8" of snow covered the tree. :-)
If it's not too late, try moving your tree outdoors. make sure that it receives light and that the soil remains moist.
