Ok, I figured out the problem, I looked at what my girlfriend wrote to you, it was actually my tree that i gave to her, i looked at it, and the moss over the soil was dying, so it wouldnt keep any moisture, and she thought it was because it was sucking up the water quickly, i inspected the tree, and figured out she was overwatering it, a lot. The tree hasnt been watered for a couple days, im trying to  dry it out a bit because i figured it was root rot and it should dry out a bit first. I was wondering what i should do to keep the tree alive after  possible root rot, and definate overwatering.

Question -
I have a Silver Cypress, it is about 10 years old, and 2 ft. tall. It was always a very healthy tree, but recently it seems to be sucking up the water i give it almost imediately, and i have to water it at least 2 times a day. The needles are also turning a little brownish in some parts of the tree and getting brittle. Any help on why this may be happening woul dbe greatly appreciated. MY only thought would that it may need to be replanted, and doesnt have enough soil or nutrients to keep it going anymore.

Bonsai needs (the minimum basic things)

- Vitamins specific for Bonsai (2x/ month)   
- Nutrients (N, P, K) ?like 揃io-Gold?(1x / Month - during Feb.- Nov.)
- Repotting (depends of the specie)

But you need to read a basic book like 揂 practical step-by-step guide ?Bonsai??Colin Lewis and Neil Sutherland or other and you have to go to a 搒pecific shop?that you can take your bonsai with you. That kind of things is necessary see the thing!

Hi,

Ok, try water now: 1st - water very well the tree (don't let retain water) than let the soil dry a little but don't let dry to much, and than water again. It's necessary see every day the tree!!!!

 Now give only 揤itamins specific for Bonsai?(not Nutrients (N, P, K))

And try to find a 搒pecific shop?to see if this things are enough, perhaps it needs a fungicide (specific for bonsai).
