QuestionDear Mr. Filho,
I recently received a dwarf jade plant which was planted in a dish along with a smaller green plant which I have no idea what it is. The plant looks somewhat like thick blades of grass growing from a central root. I have a grow light about 1 1/2' above the container and the jade looks quite well but the smaller plant is losing leaves - a few of which have turned yellow. The instructions only said to water every other day and give good sunlight which is impossible in our house - therefore the grow light. I keep the light on 14 hours each day. What am I doing wrong? Also in the spring/summer should I put it outside. Thank you so very much for any help you can give me. Carol Mabee
AnswerHi!
As with any other succulents, (succulents are plants native to arid climates, that store water on their leaves and trunk)jade plants like very little water.
They also like a lots of sunlight.
Bring the plants outside as soon as the weather allows.
The plant that is not doing too well is probably a crassula.
It may be trying ot adapt itself to the new environment. Is there any way that you could send me a picture of it?
