When growing a deciduous plant in a container, should I still fertilize the plant after it has lost its leaves?

Hi Brandon,,,treat it the same way you would , if it was in the ground, when a deciduous plant/tree sheds its leaves,,,it is in essence, going to sleep and when you or I sleep, we don't eat; the same in a container, wait until new growth commences before you begin fertilizing. One thing to keep in mind however....it will need occasional watering,,,but lightly and with good drainage. Nick
