QuestionHey Nick
Grace here, happy to tell you that my babies are doing well (alberta spruce in pots from my wedding back in late April). We're getting our first frost tonight and the colder weather is coming so I was just wondering if there was anything I needed to do to keep these in good shape over the winter. Plastic bags didnt sound like a good idea since they thrive in the sun, but I want to make sure they are doing okay. Id be happy to bring them inside, if you think itd be safer or better in the long run.
Thanks
AnswerHi Grace,,good to hear they are doing well, I wouldn't be overly concerned about bringing them in, albeit I would place them under a canopy so no frost settles on them; keep them out though so they harden to the coming cold, but if a freeze is forecasted then bring them in and then out the next morning. As they mature and you begin to repot them into bigger pots they will become more resilient.
