I live in Asheville,NC and would like to know if the mussaenda plant will survive here if I pot it?

Hi Connie, Mussaendas are tropical, and would not survive your Winter up there; you could put it in a container, but they need full Sun and I think that it would do fine from now through early November, but then you would need to move it inside and find a spot where it gets a minimum of 6 hours of unimpeded Sun and even then the dryness inside during the Winter from heating would stress it with a lack of humidity, another requirement of most tropicals. Check with your local Master Gardners (Cooperative Extension Service) and see if any of them have tried. Nick
