QuestionI have brought my begonias in for the winter this year, hoping they will last till I can snip some tops and transplant them into containers for summer. They do not look terrific. I live in Chicago where the winters are awful but this year, right now we have buds on every tree and the weather is incredible.
Do you think I could transplant them now? I also have wandering jew plants which just survive inside during the winter but take off like crazy when I plant cuttings diretly into window boxes. I know they are considered an indoor plant but they just go crazy for me during the summer and barely survive the winters inside. Again I only plant cuttings.
Any suggestions on saving money on container gardening? I have put my hostas in containers and they come back every year without any problems. I cannot spend money on annuals like I use to.
Sincerely yours
Susan

AnswerHi Susan, I think you can go ahead, this Winter is historical as far as mild goes; anything that can be contained, can be grown outdoors and then moved back in before next Winter. I am not sure what you mean about saving money,,,if you elaborate I will be happy to help. Nick
