QuestionCan Trumpet vines be planted in window boxes? I live in an apartment and would like to grow the vines on the railing around my balcony and since it is a relatively small space I'd rather not have a couple large pots sitting on the ground.
AnswerIt will "exist" in a window box, but will be stressed and probably won't flower; this vine needs much more root space then will be allotted in most any window container. They also need plenty of climbing space , which I don't think your balcony can supply. I would choose another variety Terri. Google "flowering vines for window boxes" and you will find many better choices.
