Hi Nick,

I have a Daphne in 6" container. I keep it outside all year round.  I am in zone 8.  I noticed leaves are turning yellow not only bottom part but also top part of the plant, and some leaves are falling off.  I am wondering what is going on.  Does it need fertilizer?  But I believe Daphne is not heavy feeder... Can you please give me some advise?  Thank you for your time.

Hi Tamara, it sounds like too much water, they are (contrary to popular belief) suceptible to root rot from too much moisture on the roots; wait until the soil is dry to touch before watering. Fertilizing in the Spring not now is the ticket for nutrients. Just back off the watering and hopefully it will heal. Nick
