QuestionMy name is Antuan Smith and kind of have the same question as others about eating the peaches. I live in North East Tennessee and wanted to know how well they will ripen in our area. I know it has something to do with the climate, but our climate is very unpredictable.
AnswerClimate, does have a great deal to do with how well the peaches ripen. Warm temperature, moisture, sunlight, and mild conditions.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature doesn't seem to make it perfect for the peaches.
I will tell you the same thing I have told the others who have grown these patio peach trees. Don't expect them to be good eating peaches. They may be cooking peaches with other sweet fruit in a pie or cobbler. But these trees were bred to be ornamental, small trees in containers.
Take good care of your tree, and enjoy looking at it.
