QuestionHi, I have this small "chain" of hanging basket-type of pots that I'd like to display next to my front door. There are four pots that hang vertically. They are only about 4 inches in diameter by 4-5 inches in depth a piece.
I was wondering if there are any small plants that would do well in such tiny containers. Something flowering is preferrable, but not required. I live in zone 5.
Thanks so much!
AnswerFor flowers, some sun will be required. I would recommend annuals that you replant every spring in fresh soil.
Alyssum
Lobelia
Bacopa
Viola
Put one plant per pot. They will spread and drape over the sides of the pot.
Don't forget to water often. The small pots will dry quickly. If it gets hot, they may need water several times a day.
