Question
I really like the look of the spiral alberta spruce and would like to know more information about them. I live in Indiana and didn't know if that was the right zone and how hard they are to keep alive.

They are fairly simple to keep alive. Keeping them beautiful is a bit more work.
They will need to be trimmed regularly, to keep their shape.
They will need to be watered thoroughly, then allowed to dry on the top two inches of soil, before watering again.
Check for insects, or other problems that blemish the plant, or turn the plant brown.
Give it plenty of sun, and only fertilize in the spring when new growth starts.
It will need to be repotted to the next size larger container, when it gets root bound.
If you have a hard freeze, give it protection. Either move it into a garage, or loosely rap it with a frost free material. Keep it out of cold wind, and hot sun. It will easily be blown over, so protect it from wind damage.
