QuestionI recently purchased a small(30") norfork pine with two smaller(15") trees from same base. Can I remove the two smaller trees and possibily get them to root?
AnswerIf they are trees with roots, then you can remove them, and put them in potting soil, in a gallon container. They are very difficult to get to grow at that size, if they don't already have a good root system.
Be very careful when you separate them from the larger tree, that you don't damage the roots. You will need to replace the soil in the 30" trees container as well, so have plenty of good potting soil handy.
Don't let them dry out, until they have been in the containers for a couple of months. Then you can water them normally.
