QuestionI live in CT and recently bought sweet harvest grape plant. I will like to grow my grape plant in the container. I have few questions:
1) Is it feasible?
2) If yes, what size of the container will be appropiate.
3) How long will it be before I get fruits?
4) How to take care of it??
5) Can I leave it outside during winters or should it be brought in.
AnswerGrapes will grow in containers, and produce a lovely vine. But there is little chance you will get the fruit harvest you are looking for. They will need pollination during bloom time to produce fruit. That would mean you need more then one plant. They require a very large container, and full, all day sun. Careful watering, and much fertilization, during the growing period. Pruning is very important to produce fruit.
I'm sorry I don't have better news. I can only recommend that you research your plant, before you purchase it. This one will make a nice climbing vine, and yes it is hardy for the winter, but will be ugly until it gets leaves on it. So don't place it where you will need to look at it all winter.
