QuestionI have recently bought a hydranga and when I woke this am I noticed the stem and one of the leaves had been eaten. I know slugs eat plants and flowers but I was wondering could this be a naughty squirrel as I have known slugs to eat hydrangas before. Please help.
Thankyou.
AnswerI think it would be unlikely the squirrel is the problem. I would put some slug bait out around the plant, and perhaps a netting over it. Leave the netting on for about a week, then see if the problem returns. This will solve the mystery of who is the guilty party.
