QuestionI live in Florida and would like to grow Mini Carnation on my porch. I need all the help I can get.
AnswerJimmy,
I am assuming you want to be able to bring nice cuts in during the year. The bad news is that I do not believe you can grow a consistent carnation in FL. Most carnations are produced at high altitutde and closer to the equator due to better growing conditions.
What you can grow are other Dianthus speceis as container plants that will produce lots of nice flowers but are not of the cutting variety. Go to your local garden center and talk to the local grower explaining what you want.
Good luck
