QuestionWe have two dogs and they ware a path in the grass each winter and then all
through the summer and fall. We have an invisible fence and so they always
follow the same way out to the back yard. We used to fertilize the back and
then let the dogs out in front but we no longer would like to do that. Are there
any COMMON AND SAFE fertilizer that we can use.
AnswerFertilizers are not bad for your pets unless they contain a Pesticide or Fungicide (or both). But they are so concentrated that they wipe out your microbes -- and then you're asking for problems, like Fungus and Grubs. Stick with a diluted natural fertilizer and everyone will be happy. A top dressing of composted Manure -- much better than powdered concentrate. And no ill side effects.
