What kind of fertilizer would I put for =fruit tree and when is the best time to put it.

Fertilize with 0-10-10, or 5-10-10, 10-20-20, etc. Do so in early spring as new growth starts. Spread pellets in circles starting from a few inches from the stem and going out in circles until the edge of the leaves ("drip line").

It is best to mix the fertilizer into the soil by using a dribble (a cone shaped pin to make holes in the soil) or by using a hoe or shovel to loosen the soil and mix the fertilizer into the soil. You can also apply it under the mulch and replace mulch.

Water well after applying.
