QuestionRick, you answered a question for me recently on fertilizers and recommended either espoma's plant tone or flower tone... I have visited espoma's webpage and read about it .. it sounds just right..
what should I use ? Plant tone or flower tone ?
Would it be an idea to use plant tone (5-3-3) when I transplant the annuals outdoor (they are still fairly small then and probably need to grow a lot more,e.g. probably need more nitrogen) and then make a second feeding with flower tone 3-5-7 later in the season ?
The plants involved are impatiens, coleus, salvia and tuberous begonias (from tubers)
or is flower tone basically formulated to handle plants like annuals, tuberous begonias, etc
Thanks
Kenneth
Answerthey are probably interchangeable. use flowertone for annual flowers and plantone for perennials and deciduous shrubs. if you only buy one use it on both.
when you finish planting sprinkle the recommended amout around the plants. the rain will do the rest. apply it one time per month until October.
