Question
Triangle Flower
My friends birthday is coming up and she really likes hello kitty and flowers, so i am planning on making her a hello kitty flower arrangement. The only problem is that i looked up hello kitty flower arrangements and while the face and bow of the arrangement were good, i did not like the idea of having her ears be made out of styrofoam. So i was wondering if it would be possible to use a triangular flower, like in the attached picture, or maybe one of the petals for her ears? Also, how would i attach it to her head?
Also, here is the Hello Kitty Flower Picture link in case you wanted to see it

AnswerSounds like a very cute idea for her gift. I think you would really do better using the foam for ears because carnations are actually quite long lasting, and any petal you might use for ears would shrivel up long before the carnation died. Your attached photo looks like a tulip- besides being really difficult to find (lily shaped tulips-with pointed tips), tulips are delicate, and would not hold up at all.
The craft foam is very thin, and is easily cut. You can glue one of the ears to the back of your little red bow,and the other can be glued to the flower petals. The kitty stands out best when it is backed with flowers of a similar hue.
Have fun!
