QuestionQUESTION: I want to do a peacock in a mass arrangement do you have any suggestions. thanks
ANSWER: If this is for a flower show, be sure your schedule allows for the use of found objects. Often times in a "Tri Color" class, you can't use accessories unless the schedule specifically calls for them. You also can't use feathers in many instances. I would read the schedule carefully and then cross reference with the Handbook for Flower Shows to determine if your idea is "eligible".
Assuming it is, often times it is easier to use an object as part of a grouping, an accessory of sorts; rather than putting it physically into the arrangement. You could, however, borrow from the bold color palate of the peacock to make an aesthetic suggestion to it.
If you want to provide me with additional information I can try to give you a bit more direction.

QUESTION: do you think I should do the flowers in the shape of a peacock. I was thinking about having the head turned sideways with the mass in the tail hanging down. I also thought about the tail in white flowers like in the albino peacock. thanks for all your suggestion, maybe after a lot of shows I'll began to understand. I have a great imagination, but don't know if it is correct.
ANSWER: The very first show I ever competed in, I made the mistake that TONS of first time exhibitors make.... I tried to interpret the schedule literally. The class was something about "Catfish a Jumpin'" and the winner of the class, who also won Designers Choice, was the simplest design of just a single Bird of Paradise bloom with a bent Tai leaf in a shallow dish withy river stone at the bottonm. It was stunning and I never forgot that lesson.
Don't try to take the interpretation literally... it is meant as a suggestion and the exhibit that takes the blue will sure find a clever and lovely way to suggest the class with being literal to it.
I suggest you take some time to look through old Vision of Beauty calendars, or on line to see winning entries. That will give you a lot of inspiration.
If I was doing your class, I would be looking for vibrant color flowers... deep blue, bright green, all the colors you would find in the peacock.
Good Luck!
