QuestionThank you for taking the time to help me!
I am getting married in 2012, so I do know that this may be very early in the making, however, I want to be prepared. I am doing all the flowers in my wedding DIY, and one project has me a little bit stumped! I need your help! :)
I would love a wedding arch with roses, not anything extravagant that is DRIPPING with roses, just lightly touched with some here and their. I continue to think of how in the world I would go about attaching the roses! My idea was to mix silk and real. I will use SILK ivy garlandd with lights, but I will be using fresh roses from Globalrose.com. I thought of perhaps attaching them kind of like how you make a boutonniere, by poking the wire through the bottom of the rose head and taping the wire. Then simply attaching those wired rose heads to the arch amongst the ivy to cover any unsightliness.
What are your thoughts? Would this be a good way? Would you be able to perhaps give me a better idea on how to do this if their is? If you need pictures or anything to help you visualize then please feel free to write back! Thank you incredibly so much for your help!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
-Victoria
AnswerDoing "boutonnieres" is a great way to dress it! I would do fresh on the sides, and silk up top where the scent (or lack of) won't make a difference!
Sounds lovely.
You can use corsage pins to simple stake the clusters to the ivy where you want them
