QuestionHi Jane please could you tell me the best way to arrange flowers in a large martini glass for a centerpiece, should i arrange it in a round bowl then place into the glass or should i pack the top out with ossis and then arrange. My main concern is when i have arrange them as the arrangement will now be heavy what is the best way to place it on the tables i have 13 glasses to do.Thank you i hope you can help.Gerry
AnswerDear Gerry - I would make a criss cross of floral tape (this is extra sticky tape available from florist suppliers - use the finest possible) across the top of the glass, forming a trellis pattern. Then wrap a strip of tape right round the rim to hide the tape. That will hold the flowers upright in the glass and stop them from slipping. It will also mean that the glasses aren't too heavy to put onto the table - remember you will only need enough water to cover the ends of the stems - it doesn't need to be full.
Best wishes
Jane
