QuestionRecently I drove my mother to the cemetery to check on her brother's grave. Near by his plot is an area where old flowers & things had been tossed. My mom saw some of the flower stands over there and suggested I get them to use for displaying other things (i.e. picture poster boards). So when I was getting those we saw this other thing. Turns out it is a casket saddle. Are casket saddles only used for casket sprays? Are they ever used for just table-top arrangements?
AnswerOstensibly, you could use one for an arrangement that was to hug over another object. I've used them on prayer benches for wedding flowers... though given the original purpose, you probably don't want to tell the bride what it is! Other than that, really, it wouldn't work given the concavity of the form.
