QuestionDear Jessica,
My friend has asked me to help her with flower arrangements for her son's wedding. She wants to put 9-10 fresh, white, large Calla Lilies plus some bear grass in a tall vase (18"X4"), as a centerpiece for tables of 10. I have experience in flower arrangement and don't approve of her choice. Calls are very difficult to manipulate and not easy to deliver to the wedding place. Do you have some advice for me for arranging the Calls and for transporting them (total of 20 arrangements).
Thank you so much.

AnswerHi Faezeh. Calla stems can be quite trainable. If you run your hand down the stems several times gently curving them in the direction you desire, the stems will actually hold that shape.
As for transporting them, the best I can recommend is to get some boxes about as tall as the vases where you can place several of the arrangements. I'd leave the vases only half full for the ride, if possible, and add water once you get to your destination.
